A Female Engages In Heavy Drinking And Finds Superior Help At An Alcohol Rehabilitation Clinic For Alcohol Withdrawals And Symptoms Of Alcoholism
Beth was the mother of two children. Beth had been feeling quite nervous lately and began to "medicate" herself by drinking several martinis each night after she put her children to bed. After approximately eleven weeks of this drinking routine, she finally grasped the fact that instead of helping her "take it easy" and cope with her problems, drinking made her feel less restful when she awakened in the morning. This, in turn, made her feel even more tense all through the day.
After thinking deeply about her predicament for a week or two, Beth decided to talk about her drinking problem with her closest friend. Indeed, about thirty minutes into their chat, Beth's best friend Alexis, told her that she knew about a very supportive and skillful psychiatrist at the local drug and alcohol abuse treatment clinic. After talking to her friend, Beth almost instantly got motivated to call the rehabilitation clinic and make an appointment.
Eight days later she finally got to meet the doctor her best friend had talked about. After their brief introduction, Beth told the psychiatrist that ever since her former husband and she got divorced, she has been having an extremely difficult time financially, spiritually, and psychologically.
As Beth was talking to the doctor, she stressed the point that she truthfully believed that they dated long enough to know one another well enough before they got married. After the kids started to arrive, however, everything appeared to deteriorate. Moreover, both Robert and she started to drink, and their careless and irresponsible drinking adversely impacted their finances, their love for one another, and their relationship.
The doctor explained to Beth that the alcohol poisoning symptoms she has been going through are due to her excessive and hazardous drinking. The doctor also told Beth that her alcohol withdrawal symptoms are some of the more typical symptoms of alcoholism and that the most effective solution for this is alcohol rehabilitation.
After spending two months in residential alcohol rehab, Beth was slowly but surely able to comprehend the fact that the real origin of her tension and her depression was the fact that she had not laid to rest her bitter feelings she has expressed for her ex-husband who had divorced her. In short, Beth let these feelings distress her to such an extent that she became an individual addicted to alcohol.
Armed with these insights and with the drugs her doctor prescribed, she finally stopped drinking, she began to feel much less depressed, and she started making more time for social activities with her friends and family. What is more, a few months after getting rehab from her doctor, began to date once again.
It was obvious that Beth had come a long way. In truth, just around nine months after she completed her counseling, Beth had finally laid the negative feelings of Robert, her former husband, to rest and was beginning to feel better about herself and more spiritually"alive" and psychologically "with it" than she had ever felt in her adult life.
